3- Awarded: Annually

4- Selection's criteria: To be the author of a book written about a king or a queen of France or any of their relatives.

5- The book has to be written between October the first of the preceding year and September the 30th of the current year.

6- The candidate has to send 12 copies to the administration before the 5th of October, the latest. ( For addresses of the Jury's members, please contact the office).

7- Jury's deliberation will take place at the end of November in the Pavillon Elysée of Gaston Lenôtre in Paris. The deliberation will be followed by a cocktail, organized for the press and by a gala evening.

8- The price will be given at the end of january of the next year, in the Résidence Maxim's owned by Pierre Cardin.

9- The price in 2000 was a check of 35.000 FF, offered by the Ordre Constantinien of Saint-Georges (10.000 FF) and the Bank Coutts of Genève (25.000 FF)
