After the drinks in the Beaumont Room, President Auclair's guests, welcomed
by the Spanish orchestra "Flamenco Jesus", took place in the magnificent
Foch Room. In the opening speeches, Jacques-Henri Auclair reminded his guest
of some epic moments of Prince Charles-Philippe's life; then Princess
Beatrice de Bourbon-Siciles and Prince Sixte-Henri de Bourbon-Parme
underlined the friendly relationships they have always enjoyed with their
cousin. Finally, Prince Charles-Philippe, very pleased and thankful to the
many guests for coming, received a magnificent [buste] of himself from
telented scupltor Nacera Kainou.
Lyric soprano Nadia Tzvetkova, from the Vienna Opera, charmed the guests
during a short recital that received strong applause during several minutes.
Then, the Spanish orchestra resumed playing flamenco, for the many guests'
delight. Together with birthday puddings for Prince Charles-Philippe and
Princess Beatrice came two superb presents offered by all their friends who
were attending the party: a professional digital camera for Prince
Charles-Philippe and a multi usage printer for Princess Beatrice. The first
drawze price was a 6,000 euros saphire ring, offered by Francois Berthelin,
jewel designer and was won by Madame Jean Tiberi, during the lively tombola
orchestrated by Maitre Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr. Madame Tiberi was king
enough to offer it to Countess Elisabeth d'Udekem d'Acoz. All the ladies
received a rose, all the princesses a bouquet.
The party ended with a bal, opened by Prince Charles-Philippe and his mother
Princess Beatrice d'Orleans, on the Vienna walz, with an excellent DJ. The
party ended only late at night, around 3am, when the last guests left Cercle
de l'Union Interalliee, taking home the perfumes offered by Elyane de La
Beraudiere, head of Dior Perfumes.
