Subsequently, during a cocktail party held in Salon de Beaumont and gathering the Parisian jet society, artists and aristocracy, Madame la Comtesse de Paris has the pleasure to announce the name of the laureate to
guests and journalists. There were so many hit people from so many various backgrounds that it seems impossible to list them all. President Jacques-Henri Auclair simply stressed the immense pleasure he had to
receive H.R.H. Prince Jean, duc de Vendome, for the first time at the Soiree Hugues Capet.
8.45pm was time to start the gala dinner, held in gorgeous Salon Foch. The atmosphere was extremely warm and happy, like every year. In his speech, President Jacques-Henri Auclair reminded his guests of some colourful anecdotes undergone during the first nine years of Prix Hugues Capet.
After dinner, Maitre Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr held the now traditional raffle to the benefit of Parc Heller disabled children. Main winners were S.A.R Duchess Marguerite de Wurttemberg, Mrs. Jean-Bernard Raimond, Mr.Stephane Bern and Ms. Aimee de Heeren, who were lucky enough to be rewarded several presents.
We want to address special and sincere thanks S.A.R Princess Marina de Bourbon-Parme and Mr. Gilles Pommereau, for the extreme kindness they had to offer Marina de Bourbon perfumes to all the ladies, as well as Daniel Harlant, owner of Carven, who did the same for the gentlemen.
All the guests of this brilliant party will rally again at the end of January 2003 at Pierre Cardin's Residence Maxim's de Paris, for a special party held in honour of Ms. Sabine Melchior-Bonnet and sponsored by Banque
Coutts from Geneva and Ordre Sacre Constantinien de Saint-Georges.
