The cream of Paris
attended on January 30th 1999 at the Residence Maxim's to
the reception given in the honour of Jean-Luc Gourdin, who
was awarded the 1999 Hugues Capet award for his biography
"La Duchesse du Maine" edited by Pygmalion. Receiving the
traditional diploma from the hands of HRH the Comtesse de
Paris and a cheque for 10000 FRF offered by HRH Prince
Charles de Bourbon-Siciles, Duke of Calabria in the name of
the Sacred Constantine Order of Saint George. In his
acceptance speech, the laureate rehabilitated the
grand-daughter of the Grand Condé under the applause
of the 450 personalities present.
