It was shoulder to shoulder Capetien Princes for the official awarding of the first Hugues Capet Prize to Minister Francois Bayron, who had made a round trip flight from Pau just for the ceremony. Madame, the Comtesse of Paris was surrounded at the royal podium by the Count of Clermont, the Duke of Calabre, Princess Beatrice of Bourbon-Siciles, Prince Sixte-Henri of Bourbon-Parme, Prince Remy of Bourbon-Parme, Prince Michel of France, Prince Charles-Philippe of Orlean, Count Jaques of Bourbon-Busset, as well as historians Marcel Jullian, Evelyn Lever and Jean Chalon and of course, Jacques-Henri Auclair, organiser of the event. Many well known and respected French royal biographers and a crowd of avid French History buffs had congregated in the afternoon, all happy to meet as many Princes who represented all of the branches of the House of Capets. |
